Francis E. Fourney

Francis E. Fourney, 58, of Pine Grove, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Kay L. Bower Fourney. On Jan. 21, they celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary.

Born in Renovo on Dec. 22, 1958, he was the son of Mildred Miller Fourney of Lock Haven and the late Francis E. Fourney, Sr. Francis retired in September as a federal technician working in the Combined Support Maintenance Shop at Fort Indiantown Gap. In February he retired from the Pa. Army National Guard as a First Sergeant. He was a member of the Lickdale American Legion and he especially enjoyed 4-wheeling, hunting, fishing and camping.

In addition to his wife and his mother, he is survived by his daughters Jessie M. McKinnon and Teri L. Scholes both of Florida; brothers Terry of Lock Haven, Brian of Montrose and Dennis of Lock Haven; daughter-in-law Rachel Dailey Fourney of Palmyra; and grandchildren Kylie, Andrew, Laynie, Zackaree, Noah and Gavin.

He was preceded in death by his son Chad M. Fourney.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 and Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown. The viewing will begin at 10:30 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment will follow at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
