Shane Michael Ammerman

Shane Michael Ammerman, 21, 1636 Narrows Road, Lamar, was pronounced dead at the Lock Haven Hospital Wednesday, June 21, 2017, following an ATV accident in Greene Township, Clinton County.

Born Jan. 24, 1996, in Lock Haven, he was the son of Lisa M. Yarnell of Lamar and Dennis W. Ammerman of Mill Hall. He is also survived by his step-mother Amy Ammerman of Mill Hall.

Shane was a 2014 graduate of the Central Mountain High School and worked in the maintenance department at Hampton Inn and Suites, Lamar. He was an outdoorsy young man, enjoying hunting, fishing, bon-fires, his ATV and music. Shane also liked to cook and bake.

In addition to his parents he is survived by one brother, Jeremiah Lyle Ammerman of Mill Hall; one sister, Amanda Marie Ammerman of Jersey Shore; two step-sisters, Jessica Wheeler of Dunnstown and Taylor Bilby of Avis; two uncles, Robert (Dawn) Ammerman and Craig Yarnell; and a cousin, Kylie Ammerman.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Denzil L. and Dorothy M. Ammerman; maternal grandmother Patricia Schenck Yarnell; and an aunt, Vivian (Vicky) Ammerman.

A funeral service honoring the life of Shane Michael Ammerman will be held Monday, June 26, 2017, at 1 p.m. in the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, Pa., with Pastor Kenneth Geisewite officiating. Interment, Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven. Friends will be received in the funeral home from 10 a.m. Monday until time of services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
