Thomas M. Hanna
Thomas M. Hanna, Sr., 95, of 27 Woodland Road, Lock Haven, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017 at the Lock Haven Hospital Skilled Rehab.
He was born June 29, 1922 in Lock Haven the son of the late Horace F. Hanna, Sr. and Loretto D. Dennehey Hanna.
On Oct. 29, 1941, he married the former June Catherine Quiggle who survives.
Tom was a 1940 graduate of the former Immaculate Conception High School and attended the Lock Haven Teachers College. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Navy.
He was a Real Estate and Insurance Agent with the H. F. Hanna Agency.
Tom was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, now Holy Spirit Parish. He was also a lifetime member of the Lock Haven Elks, VFW, and the Clinton Country Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was an avid Penn State Nittany Lion fan.
In addition to his wife of 76 years, he is survived by a daughter, Jeanne M. Mullen, of Lock Haven; two sons, Thomas M. Hanna, Jr., of Bellefonte, and John D. Hanna (Susan), of State College; a brother, Horace F. “Buck” Hanna, Jr., of Lock Haven; seven grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret M. Costella; two brothers, Justin P. Hanna, and James J. Hanna; and a son in law, Robert L. Mullen.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Orr officiating.
Interment services with Military Honors will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lock Haven.
