Lorraine L. Raab
Lorraine L. Raab, 89, of 18 Valley View Road, Castanea, died Dec. 17, 2017 at Susque-View Home, Lock Haven.
Born May 23, 1928 in Lamar, she was a daughter of the late Jay S. and Luella Dixon Grieb.
On June 10, 1949 in Mill Hall, she married Wilmer Raab, who died Dec. 14, 2005.
Lorraine was a graduate of the former Lock Haven High School and was a longtime Executive Secretary at Piper Aircraft Corp., Lock Haven, retiring there in 1984. Following Piper’s closing its Lock Haven facility, she became a secretary in the law offices of Charles Rosamilia in Lock Haven, for 14 years.
A member of Faith United Methodist Church, Castanea, she was a member of the Crusaders Class at the church. She was also a member of the Piper Retirees, but her family was the most important part of her life.
Lorraine is survived by one daughter, Lori (James Woods) Rich of Palmyra; one son, Jeffrey (Mary) Raab of Avis; five grandchildren, Jessica (Shane) Hook, Erin Raab, Jared (Chelsea) Rich, Jordon and Joshua Rich; and a sister, Dorothy Korman of State College.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Oakes, Ruth Monks and Hazel Brown; and two brothers, Donald and Boyd Grieb.
A funeral service honoring the life of Lorraine L. Raab will be held Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Dean K. Wetzler. Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, with Pastor Tanya Heatwole, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
Friends will be received in the funeral home one hour prior to services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith United Methodist Church through the funeral home.
