Mary G. Butler

Mary G. Butler, 80, of Bellefonte, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at her home. Born on July 25, 1937, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Fred A. and Madeline Markle Tressler. She married Paul K. Butler in 1975 in Snow Shoe. Paul survives at home.

Mary attended the State College Area High School. She worked as a clerk at the Hallmark Card Shop at the Nittany Mall, retiring after 20 years of service. She was of the Protestant faith.

Mary, along with Paul, enjoyed making crafts. She liked to go camping, doing puzzles, and playing Yahtzee. She looked forward to family gatherings.

Mary is survived by her husband, six children; Garry N. Jabco and his wife, Deb, of Milesburg, Vickey J. Emel and her husband, Edgar, of Bellefonte, Julie L Butler and her husband, Roy, of Milesburg, Pamela S. Dickey and her husband, Chuck, of Mill Hall, Fred A. Jabco and his wife, Stephany, of Unionville, and Kendall E. Jabco and his wife, Kim, of Milesburg, thirteen grandchildren; Danelle, Kerry, Tina, Garry, Brent, Kristen, Nikki, Chuckie, Jamie, Erica, Derek, Dustin and Kendra, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is one brother, Donald L. Tressler and his wife, Winifred, of Bellefonte and one sister, Ruth Haines of Mt. Union.

Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers; Fred L. Tressler and Barry J. Tressler and one sister, Betty Bloom.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, from 10-noon followed by the funeral service with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home in Howard. Burial will follow at Schenck’s Cemetery in Howard Township.
