Dale Berkley Cupp Sr.

Dale Berkley Cupp Sr., 89, of Salladasburg, met the Lord and Savior on Feb. 7, 2018.

He was the son of Joseph H. and Charlotte Cupp.

Preceding him in death was his wife of 66 years, Beverly Scheesley Cupp, four brothers and four sisters.

Surviving are his sons, Dale (Joyce) Cupp of Tuscan, Ariz., Danny (Hope) Cupp of Williamsport, and David (Michelle) Cupp of Blue Ridge, Va.; daughters Karen (John) Marshall of Genesee, Pa., and RaMae (J. Cohick) of Salladasburg; an extended daughter, Alice (Terry) Haines of Williamsport; his beloved American Chihuahua, Buffy; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Dale was a Navy World War II veteran and he retired from Textron (Avco Lycoming).

He enjoyed hunting (his family ate venison all year ’round), and fishing (fly fishing in the dead of night and netting smelt in New York and everything in between).

He was a fan of Penn State football and followed Little League baseball, recently attending his first championship game, in 2017. He was a collector and operator of RC models.

Dale was a devoted family man, spending all his extra time with them, camping, boating, water skiing, a true outdoorsman!

The family would like to say a very special thank-you to: Ronnie and Donnie Tressler for all you have done for this family for the last 50 years; all the nurses and staff at Jersey Shore ManorCare, you all hold a special place in our hearts; and all the nurses and staff at Susquehanna Health Home Care and Hospice.

A memorial service will be held in the spring. An announcement will be made at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, Jersey Shore.
