Ruth M. Phillips
Ruth M. Phillips, 77, of Blanchard, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at her home.
Born on May 29, 1940 in Mill Hall, she was the daughter of the late Roland D. and Ida L. Gardner Butler.
She celebrated 60 years of marriage with the love of her life, Dale A. Phillips, who survives.
Ruth worked at Bobbie Brooks for three years and then at Champion Parts for 32 years until their closing.
She attended Beech Creek Wesleyan Church.
Ruth enjoyed shopping, taking pictures, gathering family information, and playing Double Solitaire with her daughter, Deb.
Ruth always had a giving spirit.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Deb K. Young of Blanchard; her great-grandson, Gavin Young of Blanchard; a brother, Clair Butler of Howard; a sister, Lillian R. Page of Beech Creek; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom were special to her.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Dail Phillips Kistner; her grandson, Justin Young; and 12 siblings.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018 at 4 p.m. at Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, 217 Main St., Beech Creek, with Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating. Private burial will take place at Schenck’s Cemetery, Howard.
Friends and family will be received at the church on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
