Thomas M. Farrington Jr.

Thomas M. Farrington Jr., 60, of Pleasant Gap, lost his battle with Alzheimer’s Disease at Centre Crest in Bellefonte on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 surrounded by his family. Tom was born Dec. 12, 1957 in Lock Haven, a son of the late Thomas M. Farrington Sr. and Emily Mateer Packer.

On June 30, 1979 in Bellefonte Tom married, and is survived by Elizabeth Ann (Zong). He is also survived by his daughters Nicole Farrington (Clayton), Megan Kochik (Randy), and grandsons Easton Quinn, Jackson Kochik, and a third grandson expected in May.

Tom was a member at the Pleasant Gap American Legion, Bellefonte Elks, Undine Fire Company as well as various social clubs throughout his lifetime. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and spending time at his camp. He loved his entire family and his dogs Kody, Karlee and Roxie.

He was employed with numerous construction companies before starting his own business in 2000. He was a self-taught carpenter and an exceptional craftsman who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Tom’s family sends a special thank you to the staff of Stanton Court at Centre Crest for the compassion and care shown to him during his most difficult days.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. at the Pleasant Gap American Legion. Donations in Tom’s memory can be made to Centre Crest, Attention Business Office, FBO Stanton Court, 502 E. Howard St., Bellefonte, Pa. 16823. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
