David W. Stover Sr.

David W. Stover Sr., 90, of Jersey Shore, passed away Sunday morning, March 18, 2018 at Susque View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lock Haven.

Born Jan. 29, 1928 in Aaronsburg, he was a son to the late Nile and Sarah (Deihl) Stover. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary V. (Dobbins) Stover; a son, Ronald G. Stover; a brother, Donald Stover; and a sister, Frances Bowersox.

David honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Jersey Shore American Legion Post 36 and VFW Post 5859. He enjoyed hunting, bowling and fishing. David was the owner and worked at Keystone Instruments for 61 years.

Surviving are his children, Kenneth S. (Krista) Stover, of Jersey Shore, Niles J. (Cathy) Stover, of Jersey Shore, David W. Stover Jr., of Montoursville, Brian Scott (Karen) Stover, of Avis, Gary A. (Donna) Stover, of Jersey Shore, and Pamela S. (Ronald) Smith, of Linden; sisters, Peggy Becker, Sandra (Gary) Turzak, and Shirley Burrell; grandchildren, Kristi, Shannan, Michael, Rachael, Heather, Stephanie, Matthew, Brandy, Andrew, Candice, Melissa, Amanda, Cody, Kiara, Kiann, and Kenzi; and great-grandchildren, Kevin, Zack, Paul, Anthony, Dalton, Bailey, Cutter, Griffin, Karysa, Jasey, Iris, Kennedy, Isabelle and Flora.

A memorial service honoring the life of David will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call 10 a.m. Wednesday morning until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven, with full military honors accorded by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.
