Clyde Frank Glossner, Sr.

Clyde Frank Glossner, Sr., 85, of Lock Haven, passed away Sept. 22, 2018 at the Williamsport UPMC Hospital.

He was born in Lock Haven on Oct. 8, 1932 to Clyde G. Glossner and Maude A. Keiffer.

Clyde served in the United States Air Force. Upon discharge from the Air Force he was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture as a Food Inspector.

He was active in the Swissdale Church and held many offices in the church as well as serving on the Swissdale Cemetery Board.

Clyde was a charter leader for Boy Scout Troop 56. He served as the Woodward Township Supervisor for 43 years. Clyde was a member of the Lock Haven Lafayette Lodge #199, and the Williamsport Consistory.

Surviving at home is his wife, Wilda Myers Glossner whom he married May 28, 1955; three sons, Clyde F. Glossner, of Lock Haven, George W. (Stacy) Glossner, of Winchester, Va., and Jesse N. (Lisa) Glossner, of Sterling, Va.; four grandchildren, Teresa (Robert) Everett, Clyde Glossner III, Jesse Jr. (Alison) Glossner, Cassie Glossner and four great-grandchildren, Loren Glossner, Bryce Glossner, Emily Everett, Kyle Everett.

In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by a brother, James Glossner and a sister, Geraldine Glossner.

Funeral services for Clyde F. Glossner, Sr. will be held Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Swissdale United Methodist Church, Lock Haven. Officiating will be Pastor Jay Saldana of the Swissdale United Methodist Church.

Family and friends will be received in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Clyde’s name through the funeral home to the Swissdale United Methodist Church Salvation Army Fund and to the Riverview recreation committee for the children’s playground.
