Marcellus “Marty” Haupt

Marcellus “Marty” Haupt, 78, a Renovo native, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2018 in Los Angeles, Calif., where he resided.

A graduate of Drexel University, Philadelphia, he was retired from Hughes Aircraft as an analyst in the space program.

He enjoyed hiking and has hiked Mt. Kilimanjaro, Machu Pichu, Mt. Whitney, Grand Canyon rim to rim, Sierra Nevadas and the local mountains in Southern California. He was a member of the Sierra Club.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at Christian Community Church in South Renovo.
