Nancy Lee Martin
Nancy Lee Martin, 81, formerly of Beech Creek, passed away on Sunday Sept. 2, 2018 at Susque-View, Lock Haven.
She was born on Feb. 20, 1937, in South Williamsport, a daughter of the late Guy L. and Clarabelle Swinehart Swartz. Nancy was united in marriage to William “Bill” Martin, Jr., who preceded her in death.
Early in her working years, she was Mr. Piper’s secretary at Piper. She then concentrated on raising her family, and continued to work part-time at Renningers in Mill Hall.
Nancy was very involved at the Blanchard Church Of Christ, where she spent many years as the pipe organist as well as the pianist for Children’s Church. She truly loved her Lord and her church. She led bible studies from her home. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
Nancy is survived by a daughter, Sondra (Trent) Sheasley of Mill Hall; two sons, Douglas (Sandy) Martin of Mechanicsburg, and Daniel (Bonnie Boob) Martin of Sunbury; a brother, Richard “Dick” Swartz; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Blanchard Church of Christ, 161 N. Beach Street, Blanchard with her Pastors Dr. Russel J. Moldovan and Wally Kocher officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Thursday, Sept. 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Burial will be private at Schencks Cemetery, Howard.
