Kenneth J. Miller, Sr.

Kenneth J. “Kenny” Miller, Sr., 74, husband of Helen (Harter) Miller, of Fourth Gap Rd. Loganton, passed away on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 at Manor Care, Jersey Shore.

Born in Loganton on Aug. 28, 1944 he was the son of the late Ellery and Alice (Showers) Miller.

Helen and Kenny were wed on April 23, 1966 and shared over 52 years of marriage together.

For many years he was a crop farmer and was formerly employed by Jersey Shore Steel, of South Avis, for 38 years and earlier in life by Thompson’s Meat Packing of Jersey Shore.

Kenny enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Along with his wife he is survived by a son David Miller, at home; a daughter Loretta Miller, of Wellsboro; two sisters Doris Baney and Mary Herlocher, both of Antes Fort, and two brothers Dean Miller, of Rauchtown, and Dale Miller, of Collomsville, Pa.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son Kenneth J. Miller, Jr. and a sister Evelyn Meixel.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 95 E. Main St., Loganton, with Rev. Melvin Musser officiating.

A viewing will be held in the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Final Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Loganton.
