Kelly Sue Klein
Surrounded by immediate family, Kelly Sue Klein lost her battle to cancer on June 5, 2019 at 11:11 a.m. at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Kelly was 54 years old, and a resident of rural Muncy.
Kelly was born on Dec. 31, 1964 in Harrisburg, to Foster and the late Bonda Snively. She was a 1986 graduate of Shippensburg University where she obtained an education degree.
Kelly touched many young lives in her 30 years of teaching at Jersey Shore Area School District. Throughout that time, she held positions of librarian and 6th grade Social Studies and Language Arts teacher.
On June 28, 2003 she married her soulmate and best friend, Michael Klein. Together they effortlessly blended their two families which included five children.
Kelly lived life to the fullest by doing the things she loved: spending time with her family, camping, traveling, and sitting on her front porch with her yellow lab, Fenway. She was truly a selfless person, and always put others before herself.
In addition to her husband and father, Kelly is survived by their five children, four daughters, Courtney and Garrett Bogden of Lancaster, Lauren Gummo of Danville, Kristin and Justin Weaver of Watsontown, and Kaitlyn Klein of Hughesville; and a son, Kyler Klein of Muncy. She was blessed with one grandson, Emerson Weaver.
She also leaves her brother, Scott Snively of Bluffton, S.C.; her mother-in-law Rosemary Klein of Hughesville; sister-in-law Debbie Weaver of Hughesville, and brother-in-law Richard and Michelle Klein of La Grange, Ky.
Family and friends whose lives Kelly touched are invited to offer their condolences to the family on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway, Turbotville Pa. 17772. A time to reminisce and celebrate the life of Kelly will be held immediately following at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Kelly’s wish was to have donations made to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport, Pa. 17701, or the Jersey Shore Area School District Scholarship Fund Attn: Julie Wagner, 701 Cemetery St., Jersey Shore, Pa. 17740.
