The Family Ties Relay for Life team would like to THANK the Central Mountain Boys and Girls Basketball players, coaches, booster clubs, Athletic Director, and fans for their support in promoting cancer awareness in our community. In February, we had our annual Coaches vs. Cancer events, and thanks to all these supporters, we will be donating $602 to the American Cancer Society.
We ould like to send a big THANK YOU to all those who helped make the benefit on Saturday, Feb. 18, for Howard Daugherty and his family a success. Those people include the Avis Legion, Truck-Lite, Murray Motors, Susquehanna Transit, Truck-Lite employees, Oasis Salon, Shore Diner, Walmart, Little Caesars, the Lachat family, W.R. In all, we were able to raise a total of $5,813.50 to help the family with Howard’s ongoing medical expenses. Thank you again to all who helped out, donated or stopped by to show your support. It was greatly appreciated!
The Orviston Committee would like to THANK all of you kind people who came out and supported our chicken and waffle dinner. We greatly appreciated it. Thank you to all who volunteered to cook, serve and clean up and to all who donated to our dinner. It was a great success! Thank you to the Beech Creek Blanchard Fire Company for the use of their Social Hall. Please come out on July 8 and enjoy the day and stay to watch the spectacular fireworks display that this dinner and our faithful patrons made possible.
