Applause, Applause!

Each Saturday, The Express community newspaper highlights people, groups and activities our readers deem worthy of applause.

I wish to thank my family for my surprised 60th birthday party Jan. 20, 2018. THANK YOU Larry, Deb, Nancy, Kathy, Dennis, Dave, Nathan, Karen, Eli and Kyper. The cake balloons, flowers, cards and time we shared together was a blessing to me. God bless you all!!

The Clinton County CleanScapes Advisory Board of Directors would like to THANK Brownie’s Signs of Lock Haven, Walker’s Hardware of Lock Haven, and Christian Dwyer for their recent contributions toward our site restoration project along Youngdale Road in Castanea Township. Our nonprofit organization has coordinated a number of community cleanup events at the illegal dumpsites found near the Route 220 underpass along Youngdale Road. To deter future illegal dumping activity, Brownie’s Signs designed and donated three weather-resistant, full-color signs, and Christian Dwyer and Walker’s Hardware store donated the three steel poles that the signs will be mounted to. CleanScapes Advisory Board members Dave Evers, Jr. and Christian Dwyer will install the signage later this winter in cooperation with Castanea Township government. The CleanScapes volunteers also intend to return to the site in the spring to complete the dumpsite cleanup. Cleanup dates and updates will be available at Facebook.com/ClintonCountyCleanScapes. We greatly appreciate your donations toward this endeavor and your overall support of our organization!
