There is no substitute for hard work

On this Labor Day 2019, there are many job opportunities out there.

It depends on the market – the community and its economy.

Today, young people entering the job market should anticipate their climb up the ladder will very likely mean trips up or down different ladders. That goes for other age groups, too.

Young people today MUST be goal-oriented.

They need to have the mindset that their first job or jobs are important stepping stones.

If they go to college or trade school, internships need to be a part of that experience.

They can make all the difference today.

And we’re mystified how many young people go to an interview and then just walk away … not sending a thank you, not following up if they don’t hear something within a week or two.

In the end, success is measured by hard work and sacrifice.

There is no substitute.
