Presidential poetry

There is this Republican nominee

a certified President wannabe.

He huffs and he puffs

and says terrible stuff

when he appears on TV.

Gee whiz Mr. Trump, you’re scarin’ me.

Then there’s a Democrat nominee

who too is a wannabe.

She battles off stage

in a baritone rage,

seldom is seen on TV.

Oh my, Golly Gee

Hillary’s scarin’ me, too.

There’s got to be gooder ways of doing this

than the present day game of hit or miss.

The rights are conservative, the left libertines;

there ought to be a choice that sits in between.

And I don’t want a king or a queen

a stronger third party should be on the scene
