Gridlock

In comments about gridlock in government and the need for cooperation in the new administration, it is worth remembering that U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell and former U.S. House Speaker John Boehner declared their goal after the inauguration of President Obama was to make sure that his was a failed presidency.

They did not represent special interests, nor were they power elites.

They were the leaders of the Republican Party.
