Re-elect James Knauff

CATHY KNAUFF LACY

Lock Haven

What does it take to be an effective member of the Keystone Central School District Board of Directors?

I believe it takes a community-minded individual with the time to dedicate to this volunteer position.

As a resident of Clinton County and a retired Keystone Central teacher, I appreciate the work of the board members and know that their work is often unappreciated.

My brother, James (Butch) Knauff, has been the Region IX representative for nine years. As a retiree, Butch has the time to attend the many meetings necessary to represent Western Clinton County and all of Keystone Central. In addition to regular monthly KCSD meetings, Butch attends school district committee meetings, meetings at the Intermediate Unit, and meetings for the Pennsylvania School Boards Association. He has also attended many hours of training offered by the PSBA.

He devotes many hours of his time to assure the students of KCSD, especially those at Renovo Elementary and Bucktail Area High School, receive the best educational opportunities. He works tirelessly to balance the needs of KCSD with state and federal mandates while keeping tax increases to a minimum.

In addition to official school board business, Butch can often be found in the local schools. He has organized the elementary basketball program, works in the concession stands, and supports the booster clubs. You can often find him at Bucktail athletic events.

Butch is an Air Force veteran who has always been active in the community. He is currently a life member of the Citizens Hose Co. of South Renovo, a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, and a member of the Western Clinton County Sportsmen’s Association.

With Butch’s dedication and experience, I believe that he is the best candidate to continue to represent Region IX on the KCSD Board of Directors. I encourage everyone to vote on election day and those in Western Clinton County to vote to re-elect James Knauff to the school board.
