Take responsibility

I’m just going to put this out there: President Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again,” in its context is a false hope.

We as a nation have lost our moral turpitude. The past two mass shootings and recent sexual assault controversies are evidence enough.

But let’s continue.

Here are a few facts. The U.S. has the highest STD (sexually transmitted disease) rate in the developed world. We still have a high teen pregnancy rate. Divorce is still among the highest rate in the world at 53 percent.

We export 89 percent of the world’s pornography. Child pornography in the U.S. is estimated to be a $13 billion industry, with 50 percent of the global websites coming from the U.S.

In current times, we have more military veterans dying due to suicide than combat casualties. It is double the civilian rate, according to the U.S. Veterans Administration. One every hour?! Shame on us!

The United States is truly a modern Sodom and Gomorrah. We are a lawless, self-loving and addicted society.

Not only in urban areas, but in rural areas, too. Just take a look around you. How do we “Make America Great Again?”According to a Washington Times article, “Biblical principles are essential to remain moral,” and that is a good place to start.

We need to take responsibility for our actions and turn to Almighty God through Jesus Christ. I believe we only have a short window of opportunity to repent. If we don’t, there is no hope for this nation. America will disappear into the dustbin of history along with the empires of the past. Those who have a relationship with Jesus, pray for your community.
