Tipped scales

DAN REEDER

Lock Haven

The time has come to restore our Founding Fathers’ vision of democracy and our right to choose the government we want.

For too long and too often, political gerrymandering has stolen this vital right from us.

Currently, there is a groundswell to end political bias when voting district lines are drawn. Join this effort and together we can truly contribute to making America great. In recent years, sophisticated computer data mining and algorithms have all but taken government from us. It is imperative that we take it back.

Gerrymandering can and does tip the scales of power away from “We the people,” but we can tip them back. Contact the State Government Committee Chairpersons Sen. Mike Folmer and Representative Daryl Metcalfe and ask them to move HB722 (House Bill) and SB22 (Senate Bill) out of committee and onto the floor for a vote. Then, write and call your state House representative and your state senator and tell them to support and vote for these bills.

Jump on the scales of democracy and justice: “We the people” want to choose our representatives, not the other way around.
