I didn’t know
CAROLE MYERS GERST
Milesburg
While visiting a little coffee shop in Bellefonte recently I happened to pick up Joan of Arc and I started reading it as I drank my strong cup of coffee.
As I was leafing through the pages, seeing how young she was and how horrendous her life was at such a young age, I happened to touch on a subject about Mark Twain and how he apparently deserted his comrade-in-arms on a battlefield in the Civil War.
I must say I had massive respect for him until reading this but now I have no trouble reaching up and grabbing my whole collection of Mark Twain books, going out to the trash barrel and burning the whole stinking lot.
