Russia is not our friend
Our democracy is in dire danger. We have a numbskull in charge who either:
1. Has allegedly accepted money from shady oligarchs linked to the Kremlin.
2. Engaged in alleged sexual misbehavior while he was in Moscow running the Miss Universe contest.
3. Believes Russian dictator Vladimir Putin when he says he is innocent of intervening in our elections. Mind you, he believes this over the findings of his own CIA, NSA and FBI chiefs.
Therefore, I have come to the “collusion” that he is hiding something or totally incompetent to be our commander-in-chief. And it could be all of the above.
It’s sad in the aftermath of the killings of our youth in Florida, Las Vegas, etc. that he can blame the FBI for missing the signs on the Florida massacre because of spending time trying to prove Russian collusion with his campaign. He does this from Mar-a-Lago, where it seems he has spent more time than anywhere else.
He should be denouncing Russia for its interference, not blaming our law enforcement.
Face it: He has refused to carry out his oath of office to protect and defend our Constitution. As Don Jr. stated in 2008, “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross section of a lot of their assets.” With his defending Putin and Russia, I see him trying to increase his wealth through Russian investments. Tom him, it’s all about the money. And his alleged “misbehavior” with so many women? Makes you think about the rumors of the Miss Universe Pageant.
He and the Republicans, with the NRA, have blocked opportunities to sit down and discuss any possible solutions to the gun crisis in America. Mark Rubio said there are millions of AR-15s out there already and that ship has sailed, so no new laws would help. Excuse me! Keeping the assault rifles out of the hands of just one person who wants to do harm with it is good enough for me to make new rules and regulations on the sale of these guns.
That alone could save a few to possibly dozens of innocent people. Seeing as this, the AR-15, seems to be the choice of weapon for these slayings, something should be done now. The NRA is out for sales. Some believe the NRA is defending the 2nd Amendment, but I believe its end game is to keep increasing the sale of guns. Power and money are too alluring to let the lives of our citizens stand in the way.
And yes, family and citizens of this country are to blame, as well. We see and hear so much about people who – after a mass shooting – admit that they saw and heard signs, yet did nothing. Common sense needs to prevail in these times.
Now is the time to take action. Leave the lip service and tears for those who have died naturally or heroically for our country or other people. I would like to give credit to Thomas Friedman of the New York Times for much of this information. He has written and spoken what I have believed for a very long time. I feel it is appropriate to get this out to the general public everywhere.
