History as we know it changes everyday as new facts are uncovered.

Vikings actually traveled to North America and so on. This is the same situation for finding out a historical landmark is not factually correct. I say that is exactly what people encounter while viewing the veterans monument in Rebersburg. Why is there no listing identifying “Vietnam Veterans?” There used to be a star etched beside some of the names. When they were made aware of errors and asked to correct them, they removed all the stars.

People viewing the monument will never know who actually served in the Vietnam War. Instead, everyone is listed as Vietnam Era Veterans, and even that category is incorrect! People are told the monument information is correct. People aren’t that ignorant; they know it is wrong! For future generations’ sake, I want everyone to demand that Miles Township make the monument historically accurate. If wanting to make a veterans monument be historically accurate is a crime, then I am guilty!
