Coaches vs. Cancer

LOGAN FISHER

Lock Haven

Coaches vs. Cancer was an event that I decided to do for my Senior Project at Central Mountain High School this year.

I hosted Central Mountain boys’ and girls’ games in which there were raffles, baked goods and awareness items for sale.

There was also a half court contest at the boys’ game in which Ava Bair was our Sheetz gift card winner.

I would like to thank my coaches, teammates, classmates, CMHS administration, basketball boosters, parents and my family for supporting my event.

I would also like to thank the following businesses for donations: Weis in Lock Haven and Mill Hall, Walmart, Shanghai Chinese, Sheetz, Embellish, Pinch n Poke, Clinton Lanes, and OIP in Mill Hall.

Thank you to Brooke Wise from the American Cancer Society for providing us with the awareness items that were sold during the events.

Thank you to my family who helped to decorate and work the table the night of the events.

I set a goal to raise $500 for the American Cancer Society and I have doubled my goal.

I also collected enough donations to provide 40 chemotherapy bags to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Williamsport. I will be delivering the bags and the monetary donation to UPMC on March 6.

Once again, thank you to everyone who was generous enough to donate or come and support the event.
