Durty Dabbers in Farrandsville

CAROL McDERMIT

Lock Haven

First and foremost I would like to apologize for this letter being so late in coming.

The Durty Dabbers Cycle Races were held on Aug. 3 and 4 at the Colebrook Township Building in Farrandsville.

A huge thank you to the supervisors for allowing us to use their building for the event that benefits The People’s UM Church of Farrandsville.

We had a wonderful fun-filled weekend with plenty of food and friends. A huge thank you to the Durty Dabbers for continuing to hold their event to help the church.

If you have never been to the event you don’t know what you are missing.

The riders and their families and friends are the nicest people you will ever meet. All the food sold at the event is homemade. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner both days.

We have a huge variety of food, too. Hot sausage, hot dogs, french fries, BBQ, meatballs, three different soups, mac and cheese, etc. We also have a lot of baked goods.

The following businesses were so generous in their donations this year. We would like to thank Lenea from First Quality, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Tom from Pepsi, Weis in Lock Haven, Eric from Centre Concrete, Giant, Weis in Mill Hall, Shannon Baney, Chris from McDonalds, Denise from Arby’s and a HUGE thank you to Greg and Mike from Bimbo Bakeries and Love Disposal.

All the above businesses have supported us for years and it is so greatly appreciated. Without their help everything would have to come out of the church account.

There are no words to even begin to thank all the members of the church or the community for all their donations and help throughout the whole event.

Your donations and time were so very much appreciated. I would list all of you but I fear I would forget someone and so that is why I am not going to attempt it.

Just know how much I personally appreciate each and every one of you.
