Get Out and Vote!

Let me ask you a question because I can’t find an answer to it. Why do people think that if they don’t vote, they are entitled to still complain?  In a recent conversation with someone they said just that.

Maybe it is me, but I just don’t get it. Shouldn’t it be “if you don’t vote you can’t complain?”

Tuesday, April 22, 2008 is the Pennsylvania primary. The closest watched race is the one between Senator Hillary Clinton and Senator Barrack Obama; both democrats. Some people have said that they are not going to vote in this primary because they don’t want who they vote for to not win and then have to go back on what they believe in and vote for the other candidate come November. They also said that they don’t know who to vote for because it is tearing the Democratic Party apart.

Now granted, it may be tearing the party apart, but still you should get out and vote. People need to use their right to vote; especially young people. Since we are the future of this country, don’t you think that young people should get out and vote for the candidate whom is going to be able to give us the best possible future? I know that I want that. We can’t just wait for things to change for us, then agree with it or complain about it. People need to proactive about the country in which we live.

This is your country. Have a say. Let your voice be heard. Get out and Vote.
