Summer TimeForgive me for my lack of writing the past two weeks. It was the end of the semester, schedules got crazy, and packing for summer became a chore. With summer break now here, I will not be living with my friends in our apartment, I am at home in My life at home is different than the one in which I lead in Lock Haven. At school, I am ok with staying in on a week night where as at home I enjoy going out and seeing people. As my friends and I were saying our good byes, which I refer to as see you later, they were telling me how they wish that they could look forward to summer as much as I do. I asked them why and they said “because you still have good friends at home so you have people to go out with.” I never really think about what I have at home until somebody mentions it. When they do though, I start to think about it and smile and think about being young and stupid during the summer with Kerry and Mallory (my two best friends since intermediate school). Fast forwarding to the past few days, summer has lived up to expectations that we have had. Last night, we sat in a local pub and reminisced on past summers and what it was we wanted to do this summer. So on a napkin that had a sun set screen printed upon it, six of us sat down and mapped out the perfect summer. The list consisted of going to the beach, tubing on a lake, concerts, and going out. In a perfect world we will be able to do all of this, but time will soon tell. One thing though is for certain, summer at home is always a great time. "Live this life, because it is the only one we've got."
