LOCK HAVEN — What do lollipops, knights in shining armor, coffee cups, snowmen, scrooge, fuzzy bears, store advertisements and holiday presents have in common? They’re all featured on doors at the Lock Haven Hospital, where the winners of the annual door decorating contest were announced Friday. Three children of hospital staff also took honors as winners of the hospital’s first-ever coloring contest. The judges — Fran Decker, Diane Whitaker and Lana Muthler — had a tough time selecting the winners and took their time discussing the entries extensively before making final decisions. When all was said and done, the “Best Door Design” award was presented to Pharmacy department whose staff used furry material to replicate three bears at holiday time and called the design “”N Woods Christmas.” The eyes of the bears were made from buttons and pennies and their bellies looked like they’d just had a Christmas feast.
