LOCK HAVEN - Area organizations serving those in need are joining together this year to make sure all underprivileged children in Clinton County have a memorable Christmas. The Clinton County Toys for Tots program, the Lock Haven Salvation Army and the annual Mark "The Shark" Toy Drive are combining forces to help eliminate duplication of those receiving toys to make sure presents reach more families this year. "All of us are working for the same objective: To make sure all underprivileged children get toys for Christmas," said Clinton County Toys for Tots Coordinator Lt. Col. (Ret.) Don Miller of the U.S. Marine Corps, commander of the Bucktail Detachment. "We will work parallel and in cooperation to make sure they receive toys." That feeling was echoed by Maj. Margaret Johnson of the Lock Haven Salvation Army and Mark "The Shark" Schlesinger, organizer of the annual toy drive, now in its 16th year.
