Quick answers to CM's offense
OK, so those pesky questions about Central Mountain’s offense were answered within the first five minutes. The 21-0 score after one quarter definitely helped. The backfield of Scott Zuback and Rocco Vuocolo showed the type of speed that Wildcat fans were hoping for. Efficiency? OK, check that one off the list, too. How does five touchdowns on the first 18 plays sound? The 54 points even surprised head coach Steve Turchetta. “We knew that we had some good skilled athletes,” the CM head coach said. “We have some weapons that we could use. You have to give Jersey Shore credit because they took some things away. Scotty and Rock were a nice, one-two punch and we knew they could be. It was just a matter of how we were going to use it. We want to use both of them as much as possible.” Of course, everyone knew Central Mountain’s defense was going to be OK — with returning Logan Houtz, Colten Stover and a solid nucleus in the secondary. The question was the offens.
