Nobody likes a rain shower on the Fourth of July. With the threat being there for last Friday and Saturday, many were worried that the rain would come and ruin outdoor activities. Well, the showers held off in my neck of the woods. And in return, I got to enjoy the good ole’ outdoors the way it should be enjoyed — the wind in my hair and bugs slapping me in the face. Yes, last Friday, a day when cookouts were abundant, I had the chance to take a good romp through the woods. With the sun shining down and showers no where in sight, it was definitely the perfect day to explore some mountain roads I had never been on. I bet each weekend I could travel to a different part of this state and get caught up in all the dirt roads that the mountains have lying within them.
