Operations at Boeing Co. plant to resume
WASHINGTON (AP) - Operations at a southeastern Pennsylvania military helicopter plant are resuming even as a criminal investigators continue to look into problems found in two helicopters.
An H-47 Chinook production line at the Boeing Co. plant in Ridley Township, Pa., has not been fully operational since Tuesday. That’s when production workers found the irregularities.
A company spokesman says all workers will be back on the line Thursday.
The company and military investigators have not said what irregularities were found.
Rep. Joe Sestak has said he was told that wires that appeared to be broken or severed were found in one helicopter and that a suspicious washer was found in a second. He said it’s possible the problems were deliberate.
