Harriet A. Ziegenfuss Ruch, 97, of Maple Street, Jersey Shore, died early Wednesday morning, Dec. 26, 2007 at ManorCare, Jersey Shore.
She was born in Williamsport, June 4, 1910.
Her first husband, Jacob Ziegenfuss, died Dec. 18, 1982. Her second husband, Herbert W. Ruch, died April 18, 2002.
Harriet was an accomplished and well-known pianist. She enjoyed playing at many local churches. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, South Williamsport.
Her suvivors include five grandchildren, Carolyn Ziegenfuss Eroh, Carl, Mark, Larry and Donny Ziegenfuss. There are several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Carl F. Ziegenfuss Sr. in January of this year.
Harriet’s Life Celebration will begin with a visitation on Sunday Dec. 30, 2007 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, “a Life Celebration Home,” 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, with services to be held at 3 p.m. Burial will be private and at her family’s convenience in Jersey Shore Cemetery.
