She was born in Lock Haven on Feb. 11, 1921 and was the daughter of the late Reuben and Elizabeth Harnish Cree.
Mary was a 1939 graduate of Lock Haven High School. She then went on to study at Geisinger Medical Center Nursing School, becoming a registered nurse in 1943. Mary worked for over 25 years for Keystone Central School District as a school nurse.
She was a former member of Great Island Presbyterian Church in Lock Haven and played the organ for a period of time at Mill Hall Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Franklin H. and his wife Patricia Stover and Philip C. and his wife Sharon Bressler, all of State College; a brother, Franklin and his wife Pat Cree of Mill Hall; four grandchildren and a great grandson.
Mrs. Barry was preceded in death by her husbands, Philip R. Bressler, Earl Stover and Clifton Barry.
Memorial services for Mary C. Barry will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 11 a.m. in Great Island Presbyterian Church, 12 W. Water St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be Pastor Bryan Spang.
Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Lock Haven. Family and friends will be received in the church one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary’s name may be made to Great Island Presbyterian Church or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in State College through the funeral home.
