Mommy and me

Mikey Casper was the winner of the Mother’s Day contest, asking Renovo Elementary third graders to write a story about, “Why My Mom is Special to Me.” The Renovo post office sponsored the contest and presented Mikey and his mother, Jama, with a framed and very personalized sheet of stamps. Each stamp features this picture of Mikey and his mother. In his story, Mikey said: “My Mom and I do things together. We like to take car rides. We like to go on tiny rollercoasters. My mom and I like to play catch with a baseball, we like to hug, too. My mom and I like to play games together. We play board games, Sorry is our favorite. We like to play videogames; ‘ATV Offroad Fury 2’ is our favorite. We play sports games like basketball. My mom and I love each other. We like to hug. We like to kiss. We like to snuggle. My mom is special to me because we do things together ... we play games and we love each other.”
