Robert C. Marshall Sr.

Robert C. Marshall Sr., 78, of 625 Frederick St., Flemington, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Susque-View Home Inc.

Born in Lock Haven June 9, 1929, he was a son of the late Joseph H. and Barbara Pick Marshall.

He is survived by his wife, Marlyn Heckman Marshall, whom he married June 24, 1972.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1948. He was a member of the Bald Eagle Ridge Runner Club and Flemington First Church of Christ.

He worked at the silk mill for 24 years and then at Lock Haven University in the boiler plant, retiring in 1990.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert C. Marshall Jr. of Lock Haven; a brother, Richard Marshall of Lock Haven; a sister, Margaret Virginia Horner of Lehighton; two granddaughters, two great granddaughters and one step great grandson.

Services will be Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Mark Riley will officiate. Burial will be in Hublersburg Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Flemington First Church of Christ or the American Cancer Society.
