JS man charged in burglaries
JERSEY SHORE — Sean A. Day, 20, of 126 Oak St., has been jailed on charges of breaking into four homes and stealing items he traded to support his drug addiction, according to borough police.
Day is accused of burglarizing properties at 227 Oak St., 339 Oak St., 107 Maple St., and 85 Main St. in Antes Fort, police said.
More than $4,000 worth of computer equipment and video game systems were stolen from the homes between May 11 and Thursday, police said. Police allege Day traded most of the possessions to support his crack cocaine and marijuana habit.
Following arraignment before Magisterial District Judge Allen P. Page III on four counts of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and felony trespassing, Day was taken to Lycoming County Prison in default of $25,000 bail.
Careless driving
DUNNSTOWN — State police at Lamar said Mia Vuocolo-Barzona, 16, of Lock haven, will be charged with careless driving after her car struck a sign and tree on the Farrandsville Road at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Police said the driver was distracted by reaching for something inside her car and drove off the roadway. She was not hurt.
Theft of fuel
LAMAR — State police reported an unknown truck driver pumped $756 of diesel fuel into his vehicle and left without paying at the Pilot Travel Center, 5868 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, at 8 a.m. Sunday.
Harassment
FLEMINGTON — A couple will be charged with harassment following a physical altercation overnight May 12 at a Flemington residence, according to state police at Lamar.
Pamela Ann Matthews of Williamsport and John D. Grenninger of 109 Frederick St., were involved in a verbal disagreement that turned into a physical altercation at Grenninger’s home, police said. Both are being charged with harassment, police said.
Theft from car
MILL HALL — Buffy L. Himes of Lock Haven reported to state police at Lamar that her vehicle was entered while parked at 25 Merlyn Drive and her purses was removed.
Her purse contained various items valued at about $400, police said. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 726-6000.
