Mother charged with child endangerment; three children taken from home
CASTANEA — Three children were removed from a Castanea Township home by Clinton County Children and Youth officials and their mother was charged with endangering the welfare of children, according to state police at Lamar,.
The accused is April M. Williams, 31, of 344 McElhattan Ave., Castanea Township, police said. After an ongoing investigation police said troopers assisted Children and Youth from removing three children — a 13-year-old girl and two boys, ages 2 and 10 months — from the home on May 6.
“The accused failed to provide a safe/heal;thy living environment for several children. The accused failed to comply with numerous orders to clean the residence, resulting in the children being placed in foster care,” Trooper Adam K. Gibson said.
