Jennie E. Kitchen

Jennie E. Kitchen, 83, formerly of 636 Lusk Run Rd., Mill Hall, died Monday, May 19, 2008 at Susque-View Home.

She was born Dec. 17, 1924 in Monument, a daughter of the late Earl and Bessie Shearer Shady.

On June 10, 1944, she married Richard B. Kitchen, who died March 17, 2001.

Jennie was a homemaker.

She was a member of Living Faith Free Methodist Church in Mill Hall.

She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn L. Flowers of Mill Hall; a brother, Merrill (Hazel) Shady of Beech Creek; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard B. Kitchen Jr., who died Jan. 18, 2004; six brothers and four sisters.

Services will be held Friday, May 23, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Living Faith Free Methodist Church, Route 64, Mill Hall, with Pastor Brian Billings officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Mill Hall. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Living Faith Free Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.
