Cyclis faces charges
JERSEY SHORE - A motorcyclist injured in a crash on Route 44 in Antes Fort faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and cocaine, according to state police at Montoursville.
Miles Ray Moore was driving in that region at 7:15 p.m. on May 31, police said, when he crashed his cycle.
A passing motorist took him to the Jersey Shore Hospital and dropped his bike off at his home at 524 High St., police said.
When Moore was questioned, he denied being in a crash and told the officer he fell off a ladder, police said.
Police questioned witnesses to determine the truth of the matter and checked on blood tests that suggested Moore had alcohol and cocaine in his system.
Charges included driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and making false reports to police.
Statutory sexual assault
JERSEY SHORE - Jeffrey Horn, 19, of 302 Allegheny St., and Carl Breaseatte III, 20, of 1901 Cemetery St., face charges of statutory sexual assault, indecent assault and unlawful contact with a minor.
Both men appeared in Lycoming County Court Thursday to ask for separate trials.
The two were charged with having consentual sex with a 14-year-old girl last summer at a residence in the 100 block of North Broad Street, according to borough police. Both are free on $15,000 bail pending trial.
Indecent assault
JERSEY SHORE - Jonathan Gadra, 18, of Jersey Shore, was bound over for court on charges of unlawful contact with a minor and corrupting the morals of a minor.
Police said the homeless man inappropriately touched a girl under the age of 16.
Gadra was committed to Lycoming County Prison in default of $15,000 bail pending further legal action.
Sentencings
WILLIAMSPORT - Several local sentencings occurred in recent hearings in Lycoming County Court:
- Todd Hill, 34, of Lock Haven, was sentenced to nine to 36 months in prison and two years probation for forgery, misuse of credit cards and theft.
- Patricia A. Bower, 47, of Linden, was sentenced to three days to six months in prison and fined $1,000 for driving while intoxicated.
- Joseph C. Robinson, 41, of 3712 Cement Drive, Jersey Shore, was sentenced to two to 90 days for harassment.
- Justin Hiller, 27, of 4812 Route 287 Jersey Shore, was fined $100 for possession of a small amount of marijuana.
- Lindsey McKean, 24, of 1425 Pine Creek Ave., Jersey Shore, was fined $100 for leaving the scene of an accident involving damage.
House burglarized
LOGANTON - An unknown individual entered a house at 3791 Narrows Road, Logan Township, and stole bathroom sinks, an electric panel and other items between Wednesday and Friday, state police at Lamar said.
The victim was Michael Kephart of Lock Haven, police said.
Diesel fuel theft
LAMAR - An individual pumped $619 in diesel fuel into a vehicle at Flying J Truck Stop, 5609 Nittany Valley Drive, Porter Township, and left without paying Friday at 8:45 p.m., state police at Lamar said.
One-vehicle crash
MACKEYVILLE - A one-vehicle crash occurred Friday at 10:20 p.m. on the Duck Run Road in Lamar Township, state police at Lamar said.
Police said a 17-year-old juvenile was driving north when his 1999 Ford ZX2 traveled off the west side of the road and came to rest in Duck Run.
There were no injuries, police said.
Shed damaged
LOGANTON - An unknown individual set off fireworks and damaged a lock and shed on the property owned by John Frankhouser, 71, of Reinholds, state police at Lamar said.
The property was located at 63 Blessing Lane, Loganton, police said.
Public intoxication charged
LOCK HAVEN - Carl Feidler, 22, of 512 E. Water St., Lock Haven, was charged with public intoxication last weekend, city police said.
Feidler was found passed out in a stairwell of the Fallon Hotel on Water Street, police said.
He was placed in Clinton County Correctional Facility on a probation violation, police said.
DVDs, games stolen
LOCK HAVEN - An Xbox 360, some games and DVDs, all valued at $400 were stolen Friday in a burglary that occurred at 346 Third Ave., city police said.
Charged with vandalism
LOCK HAVEN - Cory Wagner of Culvert Street, Jersey Shore, was cited by city police for the June 16 vandalism of a parked vehicle along East Water Street.
Police said Wagner broke the rear window of the vehicle, resulting in $225 damage.
Gas stolen
MILL HALL - An unidentified individual drove away without paying for $54 in gasoline at the Sheetz Store, 288 Hogan Blvd., Wednesday afternoon, state police at Lamar said.
In a second incident, an individual pumped $33 of gasoline into a vehicle Thursday and left the scene without paying.
Hit and run
MILL HALL - A hit-and-run accident occurred in the lot of Scot's Lo-Cost Market along Hogan Boulevard Thursday afternoon, state police at Lamar said.
The damage occurred to a 2005 Subaru station wagon owned by Peggy Lou Long, 80, of Flemington, police said.
Package stolen
LOCK HAVEN - A package containing perfume, a tablet and towels, all valued at $30, was stolen Tuesday afternoon from a home at 312 N. Grove St., city police said.
The package was delivered but was stolen before the tenant could claim the property, police said.
At that same location and on the same day, the tenants reported that they had friends over and one of them apparently stole a purse and contents, which included prescription medicine.
Wallet stolen
LOCK HAVEN - A wallet was stolen Tuesday from a room at the Fallon Hotel, 131 E. Water St., city police said.
