Danielle Rae Heichel, 24, of 201 E. Highland St., Avis, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2008.

She was born in Lock Haven on May 6, 1984 and was the daughter of Randy G. Heichel of Mill Hall and Julia L. and her husband Jeffrey P. Turner of Avis.

Danielle was a 2002 graduate of Williamsport High School and was due to start nursing school at Penn College this fall. She was employed at the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit as a nursing assistant.

Surviving in addition to her mother and father are her son, Zaden Riley Heichel; two sisters, Allison and Meredith; her uncle, Wade Ritter; her paternal grandmother, Ruth Heichel; and her maternal grandparents, Jack and Linda Ritter.

Memorial services for Danielle R. Heichel will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 11 a.m. in Covenant United Methodist Church, 46 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be the Rev. Kathleen E. Kind, of the church.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Family and friends will be received in the church Thursday morning one hour prior to the services.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted to the Zaden R. Heichel Memorial Fund being set up through the funeral home.
