Drunk driving alleged

LOCK HAVEN - William Steven Bauman, 26, of 371 E. Park St., was arrested for suspected driving under the influence Saturday at 12:12 a.m., city police said.

Teen assaulted

JERSEY SHORE - A 15-year-old girl was injured Saturday, borough police said, when she was reportedly assaulted by Michele Hope Mitchell, 26, of 409 S. Main St., Third Floor.

Mitchell grabbed the girl by the hair, slammed her head on the floor and punched her at 2:51 p.m., police said.

Mitchell was charged with simple assault and harassment when arraigned before District Judge Kenneth T. Schriner Jr.

In lieu of $3,000 bail, Mitchell is in the Lycoming County Prison awaiting a hearing before District Judge Jerry C. Lepley.

Car stereo stolen

LOCK HAVEN - The window of a 1997 Chevy Cavalier was broken and a stereo AM/FM/CD system was stolen Tuesday, city police said.

The theft occurred at a carport at 720 E. Bald Eagle St., police said.
