Thomas "Ed" Pagnotto, 56, of Renovo, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008 at the Emergency Room at Bucktail Medical Center after being stricken at home.

He was born Aug. 13, 1952 in Renovo, a son of Donald and Gwendolyn (Minnich) Pagnotto.

He was married to the former Dawn R. Fantaski on Nov. 16, 1986.

Ed retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 27 years. He attended St. Joseph Church.

At the time of his death, he was the president and district officer for the F.O.E. and president of the Renovo Railroad Association. He was a member of the American Legion and Sons of Italy. For many years, Ed oversaw the Fourth of July fireworks in Renovo. He also served as constable for the election board.

He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed sports, fly fishing and collecting sports memorabilia.

Surviving are his loving wife; his father of Renovo; two sons, Brady R. Fantaski and Johnathen M. Pagnotto, both of Renovo; two brothers, Michael D. Pagnotto of Renovo and Donald R. (Sue) Pagnotto of Stoney Point, N.Y.; four sisters, Mary (Richard) Adams of Renovo, Deborah (Kenneth) Knoedler of Circleville, Ohio, Lelia Pagnotto of Renovo and Christine (Kenneth) Kurtz of Morgantown.

Ed is also survived by several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and -nephews, whom he loved so much; an uncle, Francis (Mary) Pagnotto of Avis; and two special dogs, "Jack" and "Fat boy."

He was preceded in death by his mother.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008 at St. Joseph Church, 925 Huron Ave., Renovo. Friends and relatives will be received at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Renovo Railroad Organization or the Fraternal Order of the Eagles (Roof Fund) in his memory.

Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo, has charge of arrangements.
