Tractor overturns
LOCK HAVEN - Robert S. Benfield, 65, of Lock Haven, suffered moderate injuries in a tractor accident on the Carrier Road in Gallagher Township Friday afternoon, emergency officials said.
The accident was caused by engine and brake failure, according to state police.
Police said Benfield was traveling south when the engine stalled, and the tractor coasted backwards and ran into an embankment before rolling over.
Benfield was taken to Jersey Shore Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries, police said.
Vehicles collide
CLINTONDALE - A two-vehicle crash occurred on Route 64 near the Clintondale Hill Road in Porter Township Saturday morning, state police at Lamar said.
According to police, David F. Benner, 62, of Bellefonte, and William C. Gavlock, 40, of Mill Hall, were both traveling north on Route 64 when Benner pulled to the right side to attempt a U-turn.
Police said Gavlock thought Benner was stopping on the right side of the road and tried to travel to the left of Benner's Subaru GL, but Benner turned his Ford F-150 pickup in front of the car.
There were no injuries, police said. Police were assisted at the scene by the Nittany Valley Fire Company. Benner will be cited for a traffic violation, police said.
Vandalism
CASTANEA - A lock was smashed off the rear door of the Castanea Railroad Station, 15 Logan St., state police at Lamar said.
The incident occurred Sept. 28 or 29. Anybody with information is asked to call state police at 726-6000.
Burglaries
WILLIAMSPORT - Three river lots south of Carpenter's Trailer Park in Woodward Township, Lycoming County, were burglarized between Sept. 30 and Friday, state police at Montoursville said.
The victims were David W. Gross, 40, of Cogan Station; Kathleen M. Dunlap, 33, of Lock Haven; and Mary A. Reed, 62, of Trout Run.
Corruption of Minors
AARONSBURG - Seven people were charged with crimes following an underage drinking party along Appletree Alley in Aaronsburg Saturday at 4:40 a.m., state police at Rockview said.
Police said the party was discovered after a mother retrieved her child and the child's friend from the party, and alerted state police to the situation.
Police responded and found five juveniles asleep and unresponsive. Two of them were taken to the hospital for possible alcohol poisoning. police said.
Derek Garbrick, 18, of Julian was cited, along with two underage females and four underage males police declined to identify.
Justin Leggett, 21, of Aaronsburg was charged with corruption of minors and furnishing alcohol to miners. The others were charged with underage drinking.
