Darlene J. Caprio, 70, of 24 S. Jones St., Lock Haven, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009 at the Lock Haven Hospital Emergency Room.
She was born Nov. 12, 1938 in Bellefonte, the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Jierles Dauberman.
On Feb. 29, 1964 in El Paso, Texas, she married Dennis M. Caprio, who survives.

She was a 1957 graduate of the former Bald Eagle-Nittany High School. She was employed by the former Clinton Paper, Commercial Credit Company, Piper Aircraft, Mellon Bank, Weis Market Grocery Store and most recently by ICT Group of McElhattan. She had also worked as a school bus driver and a part-time employee of the United States Postal Service Lock Haven office.
She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid bingo player.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Louis A. "Andy" (Holly) of Millersburg; five sisters, Donnal (Tom) Heckel of Mill Hall, Rose (Leo) Vuocolo of Crestmont, Ann Webner of Mill Hall, Sandy (Larry) Wian of Mackeyville and Bonnie (Larry) Cucinella of Matthews, N.C.; and two grandsons, Zachary and Bryar Caprio.
The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Lock Haven, with the Rev. Father Jozef Kovacik officiating. Private burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Lock Haven. Friends will be received at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home Inc. on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., with the Vigil for the Deceased at 5:45 p.m.
