Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Miller of Castanea are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristy Dawn, to Andrew C. Swanger.
Kristy is a 1996 graduate of Lock Haven High School, a 2000 graduate of Penn State University and a 2005 graduate of Lock Haven University. She is a special education teacher at Jersey Shore Area Middle School.
Andrew is a 1999 graduate of Milton High School and is a student at a Bloomsburg University. He is employed at Bloomsburg Hospital and is pursuing a career in the health field, while also majoring in philosophy.

The couple became engaged on Aug. 16, 2009, while vacationing in Myrtle Beach, S.C. A wedding is planned on July 24, 2010 at Castanea United Methodist Church. Following the wedding the couple plan to honeymoon on the island of Turks and Caicos and then reside in Bloomsburg.
