Katie Anne Strouse of McElhattan recently completed in the NBTA Baton Twirling Competition in Exton. She placed first in each of the two categories she entered, Novice in state solo and Novice open solo. This was the first solo competition for Katie, who studies dance and baton for Marsha Phillips and Alana Jones of Phillips Fancy Footwork. She is the daughter of Jim and Susanne Strouse. Katie is in the fourth grade at Lock Haven Catholic School."
