WILLIAMSPORT - The Small Business Development Center of Lock Haven University will hold a "First Step for Starting a Small Business" workshop from 9 a.m. to noon on April 16, 2010 at Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce, 100 W. Third St., Williamsport.
The workshop will be led by the SBDC staff and will teach participants how to plan businesses for start-up and begin on the path to continuing business success. The SBDC staff will cover topics every hopeful business owner should know: the basics of establishing a business idea, feasibility, marketing research and strategies, how to discover which regulations/licensing would apply to a business and how to create a business plan to obtain financing, along with much more.
